By the time we opened these doors, edquisitive had been refining the model for fifteen years across three other campuses. NW Military is what fifteen years of operational learning, curriculum development, and family feedback look like in one purpose-built location — intimate by design, Cognia-accredited from day one, and home to the edScription curriculum and Curiosity Studios classroom model.

Classroom design capacity is kept well below state maximums. Lead teachers know every child in the building by name. Parents are recognized when they walk in. The day-to-day feels more like a tight-knit Montessori community than a large preschool.

NW Military opened in 2023 as Edquisitive’s third campus. It is purpose-built and represents fifteen years of operational learning across the Edquisitive Montessori family of campuses. While it is our newest location, it opened with full Cognia accreditation and Texas Rising Star 4-Star rating from day one — not as a probationary new school.
NW Military serves children from 10 weeks through Pre-K (age 5) during the school year, with summer camp extending through age 12. Programs include infants (10 weeks–18 months), toddlers (18–36 months), primary/preschool (3–6 years), and Pre-K kindergarten preparation. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
All-inclusive tuition at Edquisitive Montessori NW Military ranges from $200 to $365 per week, based on your child’s age and schedule. Tuition covers meals, Montessori materials, Spanish, yoga, mindfulness, STEM enrichment, and our movement & motor skills lab — no additional enrichment fees. We accept CCS, Military CCA, and TEFA subsidies — as an approved TEFA provider, eligible families may receive up to $10,500 per year toward tuition. View current tuition details.

NW Military accepts Child Care Services (CCS) subsidies through Workforce Solutions Alamo, Military Childcare Aware (CCA) for eligible military families, and is an approved provider under the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program — which can provide eligible families up to $10,500 per year toward tuition. The Shavano Park and Castle Hills area has several preschool options, but few combine authentic Montessori methodology with Cognia accreditation, Texas Rising Star 4-Star rating, and TEFA acceptance. NW Military intentionally maintains classroom design capacity below the maximums permitted by Texas state licensing. Smaller groups support deeper Montessori work cycles, more individualized attention, and the consistent guide-child relationships that drive long-term outcomes.
