Cognia Accredited · Texas Rising Star 4-Star
Four San Antonio and Boerne campuses. One belief: your child’s curiosity is not a phase to manage — it is the foundation of everything they will become.
Edquisitive Montessori is not a daycare that borrowed the Montessori name. We are a Cognia-accredited early childhood education organization — the same accreditation held by top-performing K–12 school districts across the United States.
Our four campuses across San Antonio and Boerne serve children from 10 weeks through 12 years old. Every classroom is designed around one principle: children do not need to be taught how to learn — they need an environment that refuses to interrupt it.
300+ graduates have left our classrooms kindergarten-ready — not daycare-ready.
Built on curiosity. Grown through acquisition. Driven by one mission.
2019 — Fair Oaks: Where It All Started. Edquisitive Montessori opened its first campus in Fair Oaks — bringing Cognia-quality Montessori education to Boerne and the Hill Country, where only one other Montessori option existed. From day one, we built classrooms around a single conviction: children do not need to be taught how to learn. They need an environment that refuses to interrupt it.
2020 — Virtual Preschool: When the World Stopped, We Didn’t. When the pandemic closed classrooms across the country, Edquisitive launched a virtual preschool program — proving that Montessori principles could reach children at home without losing the self-directed, inquiry-based approach that makes them work. While other programs paused, we adapted.
2021 — Spanish Grove Academy Joins the Family. We acquired Spanish Grove Academy in Stone Oak — a bilingual Montessori immersion school originally founded in 2010. SGA’s dual-language program, where English and Spanish are woven into every moment of the school day from infancy, was a natural extension of our mission. We preserved what made it exceptional and layered in the edScription curriculum.
2023 — Northwest Military. Our third campus opened in the Shavano Park corridor of Northwest San Antonio — bringing the edScription curriculum and Curiosity Studios classroom model to a community that had been underserved by quality Montessori options.
2024 — Little Red Caboose Comes Home. We welcomed Little Red Caboose — San Antonio’s Medical Center early childhood institution, trusted by families since 1992 — into the Edquisitive family. More than three decades of heritage, an on-site swimming pool, and a community of families who grew up inside those walls. We did not come to change what worked. We came to build on it.
Today. Four campuses. Cognia accredited. Texas Rising Star 4-Star at every location. A community of families who chose something different — and watched their children thrive because of it.
Montessori methodology meets inquiry-based learning
Most preschool curricula are designed around what adults think children should learn. The edScription curriculum is designed around how children actually learn — through exploration, repetition, and self-directed discovery.
edScription layers authentic Montessori methodology with inquiry-based STEM learning. Children don’t memorize facts — they form hypotheses, test ideas, and arrive at understanding through their own hands. A three-year-old exploring gravity with a ramp and a ball is not playing. They are conducting an experiment — and they know it.
We call our classrooms Curiosity Studios — because the word classroom implies a place where children sit. Our spaces are designed for movement, choice, and concentration. Every shelf is intentional. Every material is an invitation. The educators — called guides — are trained to observe before they intervene, to ask before they tell, and to follow the child’s lead rather than redirect it toward a predetermined outcome.
The result is children who don’t just arrive at kindergarten knowing their letters and numbers — they arrive knowing how to focus, how to collaborate, how to ask a question and pursue the answer. That is the Edquisitive difference.
Four locations across San Antonio and Boerne. Each campus serves families from 10 weeks through Pre-K — with summer programs through age 12.
Bilingual Montessori immersion since 2010. English and Spanish woven into every moment of the school day — from infancy through Pre-K.
Trusted since 1992. San Antonio’s longest-running early childhood program — with an on-site swimming pool and a legacy families grow up in.
Serving the Shavano Park and Northwest San Antonio community with Montessori and STEM programming in an intimate campus setting.
One of only two Montessori schools in Boerne. Bringing Cognia-accredited early childhood education and the edScription curriculum to the Hill Country community.
Credentials that are earned, not bought
The same institutional accreditation held by top-performing K–12 school districts. Fewer than 5% of early childhood programs in Texas carry this distinction.
The highest quality rating awarded by the Texas Workforce Commission. Achieved at every Edquisitive campus — a recognition of educator qualifications, learning environments, and family engagement.
Edquisitive is an approved provider under the Texas Education Freedom Accounts program — giving eligible families up to $10,500 per year toward tuition at our schools.
Edquisitive Montessori is led by Melissa Zamora, Head of Schools — an educator whose career in early childhood development spans more than two decades. Melissa does not manage from a desk. She is on campus, in classrooms, with children and families every day. She is the voice parents hear, the face they trust, and the standard every Edquisitive guide is trained to meet.
When you tour an Edquisitive campus, you will not meet a salesperson. You will meet Melissa — or one of our campus directors — and they will show you exactly what your child’s day will look like. No scripts. No pressure. Just the truth about how we teach.
From 57+ verified reviews across all four campuses
“This school truly feels like a village. Every teacher knows my child by name, and I can see the growth every single week. We looked at five daycares before we found Edquisitive — and we stopped looking immediately.”
— Verified Parent, Medical Center Campus
“My daughter started as an infant and is now thriving in Pre-K. The bilingual program at Spanish Grove gave her something no other preschool in Stone Oak could. She switches between English and Spanish without even thinking about it.”
— Verified Parent, Stone Oak Campus
“We moved to Boerne and were worried there would be no real Montessori option. Fair Oaks has exceeded everything we hoped for. Our son asks to go to school — even on weekends.”

Yes. Edquisitive Montessori is Cognia accredited — the same institutional accreditation earned by leading K–12 school districts across the United States. All four campuses also hold a Texas Rising Star 4-Star rating, the highest quality designation awarded by the Texas Workforce Commission.
edScription is our proprietary curriculum that combines authentic Montessori methodology with inquiry-based STEM learning. Children learn through self-directed exploration, hands-on materials, and guided discovery — building concentration, collaboration, and critical thinking skills that prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
We have four locations: Stone Oak (Spanish Grove Academy — bilingual immersion), Medical Center (Little Red Caboose — trusted since 1992), Northwest Military (Shavano Park area), and Fair Oaks (Boerne — one of only two Montessori options in the area). All campuses accept CCS and CCA.
Yes. Edquisitive Montessori is an approved TEFA provider. Eligible families may receive up to $10,500 per year through the program. TEFA operates on a lottery-based selection system — contact us for details on the current enrollment window and eligibility.
Tours are available at all four campuses during school hours. You can schedule a tour online or call us directly. We encourage families to visit during a regular school day so you can see our classrooms in action — not staged for a visit.
No brochure, website, or Instagram reel can replace walking through our doors and watching your child’s future classroom in action. Schedule a tour at any campus — and bring your questions. We have nothing to hide and everything to show.
